(CNN) — Much-needed supplies and a third tugboat are heading across the Gulf of Mexico to try to make the end of the miserable voyage of the Carnival Triumph as comfortable as possible for hungry travelers who have waited in lines for hours for food  and other necessities.

Carnival cruise ship to be towed after fire

(CNN) — A Carnival cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico with more than 4,200 passengers and crew will be towed to port after a weekend engine fire left it dead in the water, a cruise line official said. The U.S. Coast Guard cutter Vigorous arrived to aid the stranded ship early Monday, the Coast Guard said.

Costa Concordia black box to be revealed in court

Findings from the black box of the Costa Concordia cruise ship will be revealed on October 15, an Italian judge said Saturday at a hearing where the data was due to have been presented. Lawyers representing survivors were at the technical hearing in Grosseto in central Italy where investigative judge Valeria Montesarchio said there had been delays in analysing all the data from the instruments on the ship.

Costa Concordia survivors describe ‘Goliath’ fight against cruise industry

Shortly after the Costa Concordia ran aground off the coast of Italy, leaving at least 32 people dead, Costa Cruises began offering settlements to the survivors of the accident. Nancy and Mario Lofaro of New Rochelle, N.Y., said they were offered $14,500 by the cruise line following the Jan. 13 incident.
